Breezy's Thoughts: Incredible fish for tanks 15 gallons and up. they love their own company and wont fully color up unless they have friends! Hardy for tetra and tolerant to a wide variety of water perimeters, however keeping a warm 79 degrees is a must!
Size: Grows up to 1.5 to 2 inches (4–5 cm) as adults.
Appearance: Features an intense neon-blue iridescent stripe running down the back and a full-length brilliant red stripe extending all the way from the head to the tail (unlike neon tetras, whose red stripe only covers the back half).
Lifespan: 2 to 5 years in a well-maintained aquarium.
Behavior: Peaceful, active midwater schooling fish; best kept in groups of 8 to 10 or more. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8]

Minimum Tank Size: 15 to 20 gallons recommended for a proper school.
Temperature: 73°F – 82°F (23°–28°C)
pH Level: 5.0 – 7.0 (prefers soft, slightly acidic blackwater conditions)
